Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Technical Concept GmbH. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support to our customers and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Sales Support: Provide day-to-day sales and technical support to meet the sales objectives of the company.
  2. Sales Development: Identify, develop, and monitor sales with specific distribution and direct end-user accounts to effectively cover designated sales areas and achieve company sales targets.
  3. Customer Engagement: Make regular customer calls with distributor sales personnel to accounts and other end-users that are potential customers for our products.
  4. New Business Development: Independently identify and develop new customers.
  5. Product Support: Technically support our products at their end-users and their distributors.
  6. Reporting and Forecasting: Document product performance by regularly preparing and submitting test reports and cost savings documents as required.
  7. Communication: Submit reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis.
  8. Company Policies: Adhere to company policies and procedures during day-to-day business activities.
  9. Professional Image: Always conduct yourself in a manner that would reflect proudly upon the image of the company.
  10. Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities.
  11. Product Knowledge: Apply and demonstrate products using examples or catalogues and emphasize value-added features and benefits to the end-user.
  12. Market Intelligence: Maintain thorough working application knowledge of all company products using product announcements/catalogues and regular communication with product managers.
  13. Market Trends: Regularly communicate market trends and competitor activity to the General Manager.
  14. Company Representation: Promote the company image and products through customer attendance to Head Office and involvement in seminars/product launches/promotions/exhibitions/visits.
  15. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties that may be agreed with you to enhance the company's image and/or performance.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years sales experience with industrial cutting tools OR Five years of manufacturing experience and an ability to sell.
  2. Manufacturing Experience: Must have manufacturing experience including CNC machining and/or programming.
  3. Business Acumen: General understanding of business practices.
  4. Communication Skills: Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
