Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Technical Concept GmbH. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical sales support to our customers and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales Support: Provide day-to-day sales and technical support to meet the sales objectives of the company.
- Sales Development: Identify, develop, and monitor sales with specific distribution and direct end-user accounts to effectively cover designated sales areas and achieve company sales targets.
- Customer Engagement: Make regular customer calls with distributor sales personnel to accounts and other end-users that are potential customers for our products.
- New Business Development: Independently identify and develop new customers.
- Product Support: Technically support our products at their end-users and their distributors.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Document product performance by regularly preparing and submitting test reports and cost savings documents as required.
- Communication: Submit reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures during day-to-day business activities.
- Professional Image: Always conduct yourself in a manner that would reflect proudly upon the image of the company.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities.
- Product Knowledge: Apply and demonstrate products using examples or catalogues and emphasize value-added features and benefits to the end-user.
- Product Training: Maintain thorough working application knowledge of all company products using product announcements/catalogues and regular communication with product managers.
- Market Trends: Regularly communicate market trends and competitor activity to the General Manager.
- Company Representation: Promote the company image and products through customer attendance to Head Office and involvement in seminars/product launches/promotions/exhibitions/visits.
- Additional Responsibilities: Other duties that may be agreed with you to enhance the company's image and/or performance.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years sales experience with industrial cutting tools OR Five years of manufacturing experience and an ability to sell.
- Manufacturing Experience: Must have manufacturing experience including CNC machining and/or programming.
- Business Acumen: General understanding of business practices.
- Communication Skills: Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including the ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
