Technical Support Manager/Trials Manager

Join our team as a Technical Support Manager/Trials Manager and take on a challenging role that combines technical expertise with project management skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality trials operations that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement field trials to meet client requirements
  • Liaise with farmers and agronomists to secure trial sites and ensure timely completion
  • Manage and coordinate with external contractors to deliver trials services
  • Collaborate with agchem manufacturers and seed suppliers to source trial products
  • Ensure trials are conducted to the highest standards and sites are well-maintained
  • Develop and implement trials protocols to meet client needs
  • Analyze data, write reports, and present findings to clients
  • Maintain relationships with manufacturers and attend technical meetings as required
  • Develop and manage the technical section of our SharePoint-based intranet
  • Manage product brands on Gatekeeper/Grower Greenlight
  • Support the agronomy team and assist with customer updates
  • Assist with budgeting for trials operations

Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in trials operations
  • Appropriate qualifications for spraying and handling chemicals
  • IT experience in setting trials protocols, entering data, and data analysis
  • IT skills in creating trials results presentations
  • BASIS and FACTS qualifications
  • Clean driving license
  • Location - preferably eastern/southeastern England (midlands south)

  • Salary ranging from £40,000-£45,000
