Job Title: Technical Support Manager/Trials Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager/Trials Manager to join our team at Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out field trials, liaising with farmers and agronomists, and managing external trials contractors.

The Job:

  1. Conduct field trials as determined with the Technical Director and Commercial Director.
  2. Liaise with farmers and agronomists to ensure timely provision of sites for trials work.
  3. Manage and liaise with external trials contractors as required.
  4. Liaise with agchem manufacturers and seed suppliers for the necessary trials products.
  5. Collect and analyse data, write reports, and assist with preparation of presentations utilising that data.
  6. Maintain a dialogue with manufacturers at a technical level.

Working Hours:

Working hours are generally sociable; however, these do extend in peak times to meet demands of harvest. All trials operations are carried out to GLP standards and to legal and company safety standards.

The Company:

Our client is one of the largest independently owned agricultural merchants, with expertise in agrochemicals and crop protection solutions for combinable, vegetable, potato, and root crop production.

The Candidate:

  1. Degree qualification from an appropriate university.
  2. A minimum of 3 years trials experience.
  3. Appropriate qualifications for spraying, handling chemical etc (PA1 & PA6).
  4. IT experience regarding setting trials protocols, entering data, and data analysis.
  5. IT skills regarding trials results presentations.
  6. BASIS (& preferably FACTS).
  7. Clean driving license.
  8. Location – preferably eastern/south Eastern England (midlands south).

The Package:

  1. Salary ranging from £40,000-£45,000.
  2. Company Car or truck and fuel.
