Job Title: Controls Systems Software Engineer

DMW Recruitment is seeking an experienced Control Systems Software Engineer to join our client's expanding marine and offshore renewables systems engineering department in Teesside.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled engineer with extensive hands-on commissioning experience of marine and offshore/subsea equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from concept to reality, producing specifications, designs, and reports from scratch, and working with PLC/SCADA, power generation & distribution, and variable speed drive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare project documentation, including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT, and SAT procedures.
  2. Create design concepts and produce detailed designs, including full lifecycle software design, I/O lists, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, and FMECA.
  3. Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and site commissioning, site integration, and site acceptance testing.
  4. Produce final project close-out documentation packages, including drawing updates, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Siemens TIA Portal and other platforms, such as B&R Automation Studio, and will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. A degree in Marine/Instrumentation & Controls Engineering/Electrical related discipline is required.
