Job Title: Control Systems Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Software Engineer to join our team at HSB Technical Ltd. As a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy, and Aerospace sectors, we have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement control systems software solutions for marine, offshore, and sub-sea equipment.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver complex systems, ensuring timely and within-budget project execution.
  3. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design basis, functional design specifications, and procedures for FAT, SIT, and SAT.
  4. Oversee start-up, commissioning, and factory acceptance testing (FAT), while also supporting site commissioning, integration, and acceptance testing (SAT) when required.
  5. Deliver after-sales service and technical support to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  6. Travel internationally on short notice to support commissioning, site integration, site acceptance, and after-sales service activities.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Marine Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or a related Electrical discipline.
  2. Demonstrated dedication to technical excellence and innovation in project execution.
  3. Full, clean driving license.
  4. Willingness and ability to travel internationally on short notice.
  5. Offshore BOSIET training.
