Job Title: Control Systems Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Software Engineer to join our team at HSB Technical Ltd. As a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy, and Aerospace sectors, we have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement control systems software solutions for marine, offshore, and sub-sea equipment.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver complex systems.
  3. Oversee start-up, commissioning, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) of control systems.
  4. Prepare and deliver technical documentation, including design reports, procedures, and user manuals.
  5. Provide after-sales service and technical support to clients.
  6. Travel internationally to support commissioning, site integration, and acceptance testing activities.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Marine Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls Engineering, or a related Electrical discipline.
  2. Proven track record of delivering technical projects and solutions.
  3. Full, clean driving license.
  4. Ability to travel internationally on short notice.
  5. Offshore BOSIET training.
