Join Our Team as an Early Years Apprentice

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Early Years Apprentice at Bright Horizons Hinchley Wood Day Nursery and Preschool.

About the Role

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will be working as part of a nursery team looking after babies and children up to the age of 5. Your daily adventures will include interactive play, activities, reading, and helping children develop their curious minds through our learning curriculum.

You will be responsible for communicating with parents daily on their child's activities, providing a caring and supporting environment where children feel safe and looked after, and creating play and learning opportunities that support children's learning.

You will also be working alongside your Assessor, attending all required training for completion of your formal qualification, and managing your own time to complete coursework within the given timeframe.

Requirements
  • Commitment to completing your Apprenticeship
  • Maths and English qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete Functional Skills alongside apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience working with children beneficial, but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
