Job Description

Job Title: Senior Business Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Senior Business Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining contractual oversight of customer accounts, coordinating budgeting processes, and advising on critical issues related to cost, quality, and delivery of product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contractual oversight of customer accounts for the Swindon site throughout their development and during commercial lifespans.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process and forecast potential revenues based on project plans and forecasts of commercial products.
  • Advise and handle the resolution of critical issues related to cost, quality, and delivery of product to completion, whilst protecting Patheon interests and image.
  • Build, develop, and be a great partner with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with European Business Development in handling new business opportunities in respect with Patheon commercial strategy by assisting with strategy, effective planning of current and new projects, agreeing new orders, defining prices, and finalizing commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure appropriate staff succession, training, and development programs are in place and implemented to assure proficiency (suitably qualified and expert personnel) and support the achievement of objectives.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and follow all company rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, scientific fields, and/or Economics.
  • Previous experience within a senior business management, key account management role would be an advantage.
  • Experience or understanding working with contracts would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ideally has experience as a program manager or portfolio management.
  • Has successfully worked alongside clients in a commercial fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in client management, sales, or marketing and in developing long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in Project Management and Technology Transfer of pharmaceutical products is desirable but not crucial.
