Job Summary:

The IT Portfolio Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of a diverse portfolio of IT projects, ensuring they are aligned with the company's strategic goals and deliver maximum value. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of IT project management, portfolio management, and financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and business goals.
  • Oversee the prioritization, initiation, and execution of IT projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and risks are managed proactively.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, providing regular updates and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers and business leaders to ensure project delivery meets expectations in terms of scope, quality, time, and budget.
  • Facilitate regular portfolio reviews, assessing project status, risks, dependencies, and financial performance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of portfolio management processes, tools, and best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure that all IT projects comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on portfolio management within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in managing large, complex IT portfolios, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and financial management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management tools and software (e.g., Clarity PPM, Microsoft Project, JIRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
