About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Locum Consultant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients in our major trauma centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery, with a focus on trauma cases.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain areas of clinical expertise, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring best practices in anaesthetic care.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, sharing knowledge and expertise with junior staff and medical students.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and CCT in anaesthesia or equivalent.
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in managing major trauma cases and peri-operative care.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and medical education.
