Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a 12-month locum consultant position, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a major trauma centre based in London.

About the Role

The Department of Anaesthesia provides a service for all surgical specialties within Barts Health and is involved in many exciting initiatives. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing anaesthetic services for surgical specialties
  • Leading a team of anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to the development of our department and its services
  • Participating in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Full GMC registration
  • CCT in anaesthesia or equivalent
  • FRCA or equivalent
  • ALS/APLS certification
  • Experience in a wide variety of anaesthesia, especially the management of major trauma
  • Experience in the peri-operative care of patients, including pain management
  • Audit experience
