About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join our dynamic team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in paediatric anaesthesia and be able to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic care to children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including the operating theatre and intensive care unit.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and medical students.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of the department.

Requirements
  • Hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Anaesthesia or equivalent.
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) or equivalent.
  • Have full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Have at least 12 months of advanced training or equivalent in paediatric anaesthesia.
