Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at Autism Initiatives. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to individuals with autism, helping them to develop independence in daily living, accessing work/education, and leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with autism in a range of activities, including developing daily living skills, accessing education and employment opportunities, and participating in leisure activities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support to individuals with autism.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing person-centered support.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
