Deputy Engineering Manager Opportunity

Matchtech Mobility Careers is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Engineering Manager to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is designed to address the increasing scope and complexity of our projects, requiring a strong leader who can engage in both hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the leadership of the Engineering team in various capacities, ensuring seamless project execution and team oversight.
  • Take ownership of specific initiatives, including process enhancements and the adoption of industry-standard quality management systems.
  • Conduct 3D CAD design, from initial concept to full-scale production, ensuring the creation of precise engineering drawings and adherence to the Engineering Change Management process.
  • Monitor and achieve project benchmarks related to time, cost, quality, and weight, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
  • Act in place of the Engineering Manager when necessary, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Be prepared for occasional international travel to engage with a diverse client base, promoting global collaboration and innovation.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience with 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens SolidEdge, is highly beneficial, with a strong understanding of design principles and engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to production, with a proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • A Mechanical Engineering degree or comparable experience, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
