About the Role

The House of Commons Administration is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Corporate Risk. This role is a critical part of the Governance Office, responsible for supporting the governance of the House of Commons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the Clerk, boards, and committees on risk management matters.
  • Design and implement effective risk management processes and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of risk management best practices and industry trends.
  • Lead and manage a small team of risk professionals, promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • IRM Certificate or Diploma in Risk Management, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in risk management, with a strong track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions under pressure.
