Head of Risk Management

As the Head of Corporate Risk, you will play a central role in supporting the governance of the House of Commons, promoting a common direction through strategy, enabling better decision-making, and ensuring compliance with the highest governance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide subject-matter expertise, advice, guidance, and support to the Clerk, boards, and committees, risk owners, and colleagues across the organisation.
- Design and deliver effective and streamlined risk management processes.
- Ensure that policies, processes, and guidance reflect new ideas and best practice, informed by internal and external networks.
- Manage and develop a small team, role modelling the principles of inclusion and diversity.
- IRM Certificate or Diploma in Risk Management, degree in risk management, CCAB, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience of leading the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and developing organisational risk maturity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish professional and collaborative working relationships to achieve common goals.
- Ability to think strategically and implement a clear and compelling vision for the organisation.
- Strong leadership skills, setting clear objectives and developing and motivating teams to deliver results.
Alongside your salary of £68,900, House of Commons contributes £19,960 towards your being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
