Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team at Reed. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our children's homes, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for our young residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Support the Registered Manager in delivering a high-quality service that meets the emotional and developmental needs of our children and young people.
  • Care Planning and Risk Management: Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of individual care plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.
  • Staff Management: Organize, deploy, and manage staff, maintaining flexible work patterns and rotas to meet service needs.
  • Environment and Health and Safety: Manage the physical environment of the home, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care and the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve Level 5 within 2 years of starting).
  • Experience: At least 2 years' relevant experience in residential care within the last 5 years.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, ability to manage and develop staff, in-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
