We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to young people in our residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and motivate young people to develop skills for independent living and educational achievements.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment for young people.
  • Support young people in Education, Employment, and Training, and maintain links with the community.
Requirements
  • Flexibility in availability for shift work, including sleep-in nights, evenings, and weekends.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Residential Childcare or be willing to study towards it.
  • Experience working with attachment and trauma is desirable.
  • Experience working with challenging behavior and mental health issues is desirable.
  • Understanding of issues facing young people in care.
  • Willingness to travel, with a full driving license and access to a vehicle desirable.
  • Intermediate-level computer experience.
