Rise Resourcing is a leading recruitment agency specializing in placing top talent in the food industry.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Dairy Buyer to join our client's team in North London. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality dairy commodities while maintaining commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection, and negotiation.
- Source dairy commodities such as butter, cream, milk, and cheese.
- Review contracts, benchmark, tender, re-negotiate, and execute agreements with suppliers to improve quality, service, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor procurement success criteria to track departmental performance.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth running of procurement processes.
- Analyze departmental figures and create reports for the management team.
- Present reports, figures, and key information to the Senior Management team.
- Proven experience in procurement or indirect procurement roles.
- Experience in fast-paced retail or FMCG environments is essential.
- Knowledge of dairy buying and procurement.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including advanced Excel.
