Rise Resourcing is seeking an experienced Dairy Buyer to join our team in a Procurement Specialist role.

About the Role:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the procurement of dairy commodities meets quality and commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection, and negotiation.
  • Source dairy commodities such as butter, cream, milk, and cheese.
  • Review contracts, benchmark, tender, re-negotiate, and execute contracts/agreements with suppliers to improve quality, service, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor procurement success criteria to track departmental performance.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including production, NPD, finance, technical, sales, and operations teams.
  • Analyze departmental figures and create reports for the management team.
  • Present reports, figures, and key information to the senior management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Procurement/Indirect or GNFR role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, retail/FMCG environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of dairy buying/procurement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise and influence effectively at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach.
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office products, including advanced Excel.
