About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Services Assistant to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a comprehensive and professional cleaning service to meet NHS standards of cleanliness and other housekeeping duties in accordance with schedules and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical teams and infection control to ensure the cleanliness of our estate in accordance with national standards and our strategic cleaning plan.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in cleaning and housekeeping practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of cleaning in an employed capacity.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
