Housing and Community Officer

Service Care Solutions is seeking a skilled Housing and Community Officer to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our housing services team, you will play a crucial role in shaping a thriving community and making a real difference to residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on tenancy matters, welfare benefits, and rehousing requests.
  • Support tenants with support needs to help them sustain their tenancies.
  • Assist the Property Services Manager with void turnaround targets and the lettings process.
  • Assess housing applicants and manage allocations in line with the Lettings Policy.
  • Ensure tenancy terminations and new lettings comply with policy and targets.
  • Work to resolve tenant disputes and enforce tenancy conditions in collaboration with the Housing Management team.
  • Assist with legal action to enforce tenancy conditions when necessary.
  • Conduct estate inspections, monitor repairs, and liaise with colleagues to improve the environment.
  • Promote tenant engagement in service delivery and decision-making.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as needed.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of housing laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organization and time management skills.
