Job Title: Governance and Compliance Lead

FIND is supporting a Multi Academy Trust in their search for a Governance and Compliance Lead. This is a key role to ensure the Trust adheres to all legal and statutory requirements.

Job Summary:

The Governance and Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring the Trust's governance is in line with statutory requirements. This includes oversight of annual meetings of the Trust Board, attending all board meetings, and ensuring training for Trustees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance of governance in line with statutory requirements
  • Oversight of annual meetings of the Trust Board
  • Attend all board meetings
  • Ensure training for Trustees
  • Oversight of member terms of office and vacancies on the board
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to companies house
  • Policy and risk management
  • Data protection compliance
  • Complaints handling
  • Manage the legal register
Requirements:
  • Business Admin qualification
  • Holds or is willing to work towards a DPO qualification
  • Education and Academy Trust experience
  • Knowledge of Governance and compliance in the education sector
  • Great ICT skills
  • Excellent communicator - written and oral
