Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Scientist to join our team at the Discovery Centre laboratories. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting experiments on stem cells and glial cells to investigate the biochemistry and signalling in neurodegeneration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to study the biochemistry and signalling in neurodegeneration
  • Support the development of new assays, models, and methods
  • Communicate research findings through oral and written reports
  • Monitor and review published research to inform internal research
  • Assist with general laboratory duties, such as ordering and cell line management
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences or a related field
  • Strong understanding of molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry
  • Practical laboratory experience is desirable but not essential
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis is preferred
