Molecular Mechanisms of Disease Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral research scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences. As a key member of our group, you will be part of our collaborative effort to explore novel mechanisms underlying human diseases.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have a background in molecular biology and a track record of relevant publications and presentations. You will be responsible for generating in vitro and/or in vivo mouse models to investigate the molecular consequences of chromosomal structural variants (SVs) impacting the noncoding genome.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute experiments to investigate the molecular mechanisms of disease
- Collaborate with group members and collaborators to achieve research goals
- Prepare work for publication and grant submissions
- Present at seminars and conferences as necessary
- PhD in Molecular Genetics or a closely related discipline
- Background in gene regulation and/or developmental genetics
- Experience in cell culture and common techniques in molecular biology
- Excellent written communication skills in English
