Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease

MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences is seeking a talented postdoctoral scientist to join our team in the Genomic Variation and Disease Group. The successful candidate will work on exploring the mechanisms underlying human diseases, using CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and synthetic genomics for mouse or human genome rewriting to model disease-causing chromosomal structural variants (SVs) and study their functional consequences.
**About the Role:**
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral scientist with a background in molecular biology to contribute to our cutting-edge research. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of research experience and a passion for advancing our understanding of human diseases.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct research in the Genomic Variation and Disease Group, focusing on the mechanisms underlying human diseases
* Use CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing and synthetic genomics for mouse or human genome rewriting to model disease-causing chromosomal structural variants (SVs) and study their functional consequences
* Collaborate with the team to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
* Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish in leading journals
