Position Overview

Sales Engineering Manager - Yorkshire and Northwest

This is a full-time remote position for a Sales Engineering Manager. In this role at Tungaloy-NTK UK, you will oversee key client accounts, deliver technical assistance to clients, and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with the sales team and customer support representatives to ensure outstanding service and support throughout the sales cycle. This position demands exceptional communication and presentation abilities, along with a comprehensive understanding of our product range and the requirements of our target sectors.

Location Focus: Yorkshire and Northwest

Preferred Area: Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proactivity, focus, and determination to achieve sales objectives.
  • Interpret and manage client needs with the confidence to negotiate and finalize sales.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with our clients' customers.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, sharing expertise on cutting tools, conducting technical demonstrations, and illustrating how a cutting tool can fulfill customer requirements.
  • Document cost-saving initiatives and maintain daily updates in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with our skilled product team to develop customized solutions for our clients.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions, conferences, and other marketing events to cultivate new connections and enhance existing relationships, reinforcing our reputation for delivering high-quality cutting tools that surpass customer expectations.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven success in selling metal cutting tools or a background as a multi-skilled engineer with extensive knowledge of cutting tool applications.
  • Ability to advise on optimal metal removal rates for Milling, Drilling, Grooving, Turning, and Threading processes, while reducing customer costs.
  • Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings; ideally possessing a Mechanical Engineering qualification or having completed a technical apprenticeship.
  • While excellent support will be provided through Tungaloy's induction program, you should be a disciplined, target-oriented individual capable of working independently.
  • Regardless of prior sales experience, you should possess outstanding communication and negotiation skills, coupled with a winning attitude.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Residence in the specified area.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management.

Additionally, at least one of the following:

  • 3+ years of experience applying cutting tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in cutting tool sales.
