This role is a full-time remote opportunity for a Sales Engineering Manager at Tungaloy-NTK UK. In this position, you will oversee critical client accounts, deliver technical assistance to clients, and foster sales expansion. You will work in close collaboration with the sales team and customer support personnel to guarantee outstanding service and support throughout the sales journey. This position demands exceptional communication and presentation abilities, along with a comprehensive understanding of our product range and the requirements of our target sectors.
Location Focus: Yorkshire and Northwest
Preferred Area: Surrounding Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit proactivity, focus, and determination to achieve sales objectives.
- Comprehend, interpret, and manage client needs with the confidence to negotiate and finalize sales.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with our clients' customers.
- Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical support, sharing your expertise in cutting tools, conducting technical demonstrations, and illustrating how a cutting tool can fulfill customer requirements.
- Record cost-saving initiatives and maintain daily updates in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with our skilled product team to develop customized solutions for our clients.
- Participate in trade exhibitions, conferences, and other marketing events to cultivate new connections and enhance existing relationships, thereby strengthening our market reputation for delivering high-quality cutting tools that surpass customer expectations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven success in selling metal cutting tools or a background as a multi-skilled engineer with extensive knowledge of applying cutting tools effectively.
- Ability to advise on optimal metal removal rates for Milling, Drilling, Grooving, Turning, and Threading applications, while reducing the customer's cost per part.
- Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings; ideally, you will possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification or have completed a technical apprenticeship.
- Tungaloy's comprehensive induction program is exceptional, and while substantial support will be provided, you should be a disciplined, target-oriented individual capable of working independently.
- Regardless of your sales experience, you should possess outstanding communication and negotiation skills combined with a proactive mindset.
Essential Requirements
- A valid driver's license.
- Residence in the specified area.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management.
Additionally, you should meet at least one of the following:
- 3+ years of experience applying cutting tools on the shop floor.
- 2+ years of experience in cutting tool sales.
