The Opportunity

Oversee the relevant members of the Legal Project Management team as Senior Manager in the UK and EMEA (and potentially other regions in the West in the future). Direct the execution of practice group-specific priorities alongside other Senior Managers and spearhead strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Ensuring excellence in Legal Project Management service delivery to the firm's practice groups in the West. Managing financial performance and budgetary adherence of the LPM West. Strategically guiding LPM in the West towards demonstrable growth in both financial performance and the development of service offerings. Engaging in business development activities both internally and externally. Articulating and promoting a clear vision and value proposition for contentious Legal Project Management, while defining and communicating its services to both internal and external clients. Conveying a clear vision for your team and demonstrating outstanding leadership. Establishing and maintaining effective processes for quality work delivery, including developing sustainable operational best practices in legal project management. Implementing and overseeing robust risk management and governance procedures. Managing comprehensive financial processes, including time tracking and productivity reporting. Leading a high-performing team, which includes: Creating a framework to ensure team members focus on activities that yield optimal outcomes and maximum value for the firm. Setting clear performance indicators for team members and actively monitoring and reporting on their performance. Cultivating a high-performance culture where team members are motivated and inspired to perform at their best. Proactively managing performance and addressing any capability gaps. Coordinating team members to ensure effective collaboration and synergy in service delivery across the team and the broader Digital Delivery practice group.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Degree qualified. A minimum of five years of post-degree experience in a law firm or other professional services environment, with at least three years as a Legal Project Manager. In-depth understanding of the legal process and typical deliverables in a law firm context (including managing large matters). Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with experience in establishing trust with senior stakeholders and clients. Demonstrated financial acumen and familiarity with key financial performance metrics. Proven ability to simplify complex concepts for effective communication. Strong technical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Presents and facilitates discussions with clarity, energy, confidence, and enthusiasm. Proficient in managing senior stakeholder relationships. Detail-oriented with the ability to distill complex information for effective communication. Skilled in prioritizing demanding workloads and contributing to projects as part of an international team.
