The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Property and Support Services team at NHS Lanarkshire. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team, ensuring the smooth operation of all functions and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Property and Support Services team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing documents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases.
  • Coordinate and arrange meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • SVQ3 or equivalent qualification in administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
