Accountant - Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary
The Peninsula London is seeking a highly skilled Accountant - Accounts Payable to join our Finance Team. This role will play a crucial part in establishing an efficient and paperless Accounts Payable function, utilizing next-generation systems to drive innovation and excellence in our industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of the Peninsula London Accounts Payable, including managing the reconciliation of invoices vs. purchase orders and received items, the timely weekly and monthly payments of such invoices, the payment reconciliation, and the monthly preparation of accruals.
- Cross-train with other Senior Accountants to ensure smooth coverage of all functions during holidays.
- Collaborate with the Operations Cost Controller and the Purchasing Manager to analyze requirements for variable costs, ensuring a high level of detail and understanding of expense trends within the property for all departments.
Requirements
- 3 years of accounting experience in a hospitality-residential environment and supervisory experience.
- Understanding of various Accounting Functions. Extensive experience in Accounts Payable with the ability to manage a complex tax and contractual environment.
- High level of integrity, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
