As the Principal Clinician - Cancer Diagnostics and Research, you will serve as a key expert within critical initiatives and influence the broader healthcare landscape at both national and international levels to optimize our impact on participants and patient outcomes.

The main objective of this role is to collaborate closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), and the broader cancer team at Genomics England to formulate, engage, and execute our cancer strategy across both healthcare and research domains.

You will support the CMO, CSO, Director of External Affairs, and Director of Ethics in their interactions with various advisory committees and the Participants Panel.

Additionally, you will provide clinical guidance to the service management team, which includes navigating complex discussions with research participants and addressing inquiries, complaints, and clinical incidents.

Your contributions will also include clinical input for safety and risk management systems. You will assist the CMO and GMS Service Owner in fostering collaborations between Genomics England and NHS England/NHS colleagues.

Furthermore, you will offer clinical leadership in the development of research strategies and coordination, and establish processes to support research stakeholders.
