Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncology Consultant to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical oncology services to our patients, including diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oncology services to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.
  • Participate in research activities and clinical trials as required.
  • Participate in clinical and other service activities to ensure a high standard of patient care.
  • Take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
  • Contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development.
Key Requirements
  • FRCR or registrable equivalent.
  • Hold MRCP.
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Entry on the Specialist Register (in Clinical Oncology) and has CCT.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Possession of, or working towards, a higher degree qualification (MD or PhD).
  • Training in management of Skin lymphoma and Prostate cancers.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary cancer care.
  • Experience of clinical trial development and operation.
  • Experience of Acute Oncology.
  • Broad training in Clinical Oncology including both radiotherapy & chemotherapy.
  • Experience in brachytherapy IMRT & IGRT.
