Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a highly skilled Site Traffic Coordinator to join our clients' Recycling facility. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing the movement of vehicles and equipment around the site to prevent accidents and ensure efficient operations.
  • Developing and implementing safe traffic management systems to minimize risks and optimize site flow.
  • Providing clear and accurate directions to plant operators and drivers to prevent misunderstandings and ensure safe working practices.
  • Communicating effectively with drivers and plant operators through verbal and radio communication, as well as industry-standard hand signals.
  • Conducting regular equipment checks and performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably as a Banksman, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with drivers, plant operators, and other site personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve site objectives.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work on a temporary to permanent basis, subject to a probationary period. The role requires a high level of physical activity, including standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
