FryerMiles, a dynamic player in the travel sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant with a solid background in the travel industry. This pivotal role is essential for driving the financial strategy and ensuring robust financial oversight of our domestic and international travel operations.

The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices specific to the travel sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and evaluate financial statements, ensuring adherence to relevant industry standards and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate enhancements in operational and financial systems to boost efficiency and precision.
  • Maintain precise financial documentation and guarantee the punctual submission of financial reports.
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews to uphold industry regulations and internal controls.
  • Deliver in-depth financial analysis and reports to senior leadership, emphasizing significant trends, discrepancies, and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
  • Engage with external auditors and regulatory authorities to comply with the annual reporting schedule.
  • Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) either completed or in progress.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within the travel sector.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Strong grasp of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
