The OpportunityIn this position, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and the broader HR team to formulate, refine, and implement HR strategies and solutions.
Your role will involve advising, guiding, and supporting managers, and when necessary, leading initiatives related to organizational transformation, including business restructuring, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and negotiations with unions regarding annual compensation.
You will provide counsel and assistance to managers throughout the employee lifecycle, encompassing performance management, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, engagement, and wellbeing.
Who You AreThe ideal candidate will possess substantial experience within a large, geographically diverse commercial organization and have a solid grasp of employment legislation, particularly concerning absence management, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
You will be accustomed to partnering with key stakeholders, proactively coaching managers and leaders on all facets of people management, leadership development, and team engagement to foster improved workplace environments.
Additionally, you will be hands-on and capable of thriving in a fast-paced operational setting, managing day-to-day employee relations while also overseeing projects that drive business transformation, working collaboratively with unions at all levels.
Experienced in facilitating change management, you will be adept at crafting stakeholder communications and executing HR-related projects (cross-functionally where applicable), aligned with the overarching business strategy.
Furthermore, you will excel at identifying risks and opportunities, intervening early through a comprehensive understanding of the broader business context—KPIs, financial standing, Business Intelligence, and external market trends.
With this insight, you will leverage your ability to generate actionable insights and create people-focused interventions from diverse data sources to produce reports on topics such as absence and attrition metrics, disciplinary and grievance statistics, salary data, and pay benchmarking.
You will have experience in integrating businesses post-acquisition and relish the challenge of navigating different cultures with a focus on achieving alignment in people-related activities.
