About the Role
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT is seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our Radiotherapy Support Workers Team as a Radiotherapy Support Worker - Clinical Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing comprehensive, efficient, and effective care to patients and their carers.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in all sections of the department to provide a high-quality patient care experience.
- To perform clinical and clerical duties, including preparing and running assigned weekly treatment review clinics and phlebotomy services.
- To provide hands-on care, assistance, and emotional support to patients and their carers, including chaperoning patients and participating in the phlebotomy service.
- To record patients' observations using the National Early Warnings Scoring system and assist in the brachytherapy and Papillon suite.
Requirements
- Basic general education to GCSE level.
- NVQ 3.
- Computer literate with general IT skills.
- Working in a care setting with direct patient care experience.
