Radiotherapy Support Worker

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Radiotherapy Support Workers Team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive, efficient, and effective support to patients and staff in the radiotherapy department. This will include assisting with clinical and clerical duties, providing hands-on care and emotional support to patients and their carers, and preparing and running assigned weekly treatment review clinics and phlebotomy.
About the RoleThe Radiotherapy Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting the patients and radiographers within the radiotherapy department. This is a diverse role with clinical and clerical aspects, and the successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of tasks, including chaperoning patients, participating in the phlebotomy service, recording patients' observations, and assisting in the brachytherapy and Papillon suite.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have basic general education to GCSE level, NVQ 3, and computer literacy with general IT skills. They will also need to have experience of working in a care setting with direct patient care experience. Experience of working in the NHS and radiotherapy is desirable but not essential.
