Job Title: Locum Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant to join our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedics team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care in outpatient clinics, fracture clinics, and virtual fracture clinics. They will also be involved in triaging and assisting in elective and trauma theatres, as well as teaching and supporting more junior staff in the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient care in outpatient clinics, fracture clinics, and virtual fracture clinics
  • Triaging and assisting in elective and trauma theatres
  • Teaching and supporting more junior staff in the department
  • Developing pathways for smooth and efficient patient care
  • Audit and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration or post CCT within 6 months
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and Excellent decision making at consultant level
  • General Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery to Consultant level or equivalent
  • National, International Fellowship training
  • Experience in managing emergency trauma surgical skills
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £99,532 to £131,964, depending on experience.
