Are you searching for a fulfilling part-time position that offers unique job satisfaction? Look no further, as Cornerstone Community Care is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate *female team members to join our supportive environment on a permanent part-time basis.

The Role

As a vital member of our friendly team, you will provide assistance to four individuals with diverse learning challenges. Each day will bring new experiences as you offer essential support in various aspects of their daily lives, including meal preparation, household tasks, financial management, and medication administration.

Additionally, your creativity and enthusiasm will shine as you engage with their hobbies and interests, which may include gardening, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and exploring the local community.

About You

At Cornerstone, we prioritize the qualities you bring as an individual over prior experience or formal qualifications. We will compensate you for your training and equip you with all the necessary practical skills. Furthermore, we will cover the costs for your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and annual SSSC registration fees.

We ask that you possess the following:

  • Excellent listening and communication abilities
  • A compassionate and caring demeanor
  • A positive attitude towards learning
  • An appreciation for the significance of routines and guidelines
  • Cooking skills (baking experience is a plus)

While having a full driving license would be advantageous, it is not essential for the right candidates.

Shift Patterns

To ensure we provide the best possible support tailored to each individual's needs, shifts will typically be scheduled in patterns that include mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Flexibility is essential, as weekends and sleepovers will also be part of your rotation.

Sleepover shifts are compensated separately, with an additional payment of £96 for each shift worked.

Please note that if you do not reside locally, a driving license and access to a vehicle will be necessary due to the nature of the shift patterns.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and will be supported in pursuing an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare through our Training Academy.

If you join our team, you will need to register with the SSSC within three months of starting your employment.
