Job Summary
Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of care to older individuals within our caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to the needs and rights of older individuals, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality care and support services.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs of service users.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in care and support.
Working Arrangements
This role will require flexible working, including evening and weekend shifts. You will work a three-week rolling rota, with four shifts per week. Early shifts will run from 07:00 to 14:30, and late shifts from 14:00 to 21:30.
Requirements
- You will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Where applicable, you will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
- You will be required to obtain SSSC registration within three months of employment.
- You will need to provide a minimum of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
