Havencourt Care Home is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Domestic Assistant. As a key member of our care home team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service to the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices.
  • Undertake all necessary hygienic work practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Clean and protect various floor surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of sanitary fixtures and fittings, and replenish sundries as required.
  • Remove refuse and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Assist with the daily well-being of residents, helping them to settle into their new environment.
  • Ensure laundry services are effective, working in line with guidance and expectations.
  • Ensure the safe return of laundry and personal possessions to residents, labeling as directed.
  • Ensure Health and Safety, infection prevention and control, and fire safety within the laundry and wider care environment.
  • Work with other staff to ensure the laundry service is effective and efficient.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
