About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join NRS Healthcare as an Operations Manager, where you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our service centre operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our warehouse and transport operations are running at their best, implementing best practices in people, processes, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Transport Team: Oversee the transport team to ensure NRS Healthcare runs its operations as efficiently and professionally as possible.
  • Manage Drivers: Proactively manage and motivate drivers to achieve planned targets and deadlines.
  • Resolve Issues: Act as an escalation point to resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage Out-of-Hours Operations: Manage out-of-hours amendments, planning, and forecasting.
  • Conduct Daily Briefings: Conduct daily briefings and debriefs of the transport team.
  • Perform Line Management Duties: Perform full line management duties, including monitoring sickness and absence.
  • Promote Health and Safety: Promote a culture of Health and Safety adherence, including reporting near misses and incidents.
  • Ensure Accuracy and Efficiency: Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of delivery documents.
  • Oversee Reporting and Monitoring: Oversee reporting and monitoring, including tachograph and time and labour reporting.
  • Manage Drivers' Hours: Manage drivers' hours, overtime, working time directives, and shift operations correctly.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need proven expertise and experience in a managerial role within a transport/logistics environment. Your knowledge of transport best practices, transport planning, reporting, and monitoring, as well as transport/logistics systems and processes, will be vital. A strong team player, you will support the delivery of common business goals, set and maintain high standards of work, and manage your team effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written, oral, and presentational abilities, will be essential.
