About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Senior Assistant Technical Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality aseptic services in a dynamic and friendly environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of aseptically prepared products using needles and syringes within a clean room environment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of products for patient administration.
  • Maintain stock and consumable levels, ensuring stock rotation within designated areas in accordance with procedures.
  • Perform general tidying and non-domestic cleaning duties in the department as needed, ensuring the safe disposal of waste.
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations for the storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceutical products.

You will be part of a busy and friendly team, working in our Aseptic Unit to provide safe, timely, and appropriate high-quality pharmaceutical services. Our team is committed to delivering the highest quality of services for our patients and ensuring safe and effective patient care.

About the Employer

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust operates from three main hospitals, providing a range of General Hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services. We also provide a range of planned care, including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case, and inpatient surgery.

Requirements
  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services is a requirement of the role.
  • Previous aseptic experience is desirable, although a full training package is provided.
