Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join our team at Global Accounting Network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership and control, with a proven track record of improving processes and instilling strong control environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to the CFO and senior management team, ensuring the finance function is aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Financial Control: Embed a robust internal controls and review framework to ensure the accuracy of reported financial information, and lead the preparation of Group management results and consolidated statutory results.
  • Cash Flow and Working Capital Management: Maximize working capital, applying commercial judgement to manage suppliers and customers with a focus on cash, and manage balance sheet risks, opportunities and provisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Own consolidated financial statements, and provide financial assistance to subsidiaries, including management reporting guidance and cashflow statement support.
  • Team Development: Deliver best-in-class financial control team through effective team design, engagement, development, performance management and recruitment.
Requirements
  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience in controlling, accounting / consolidating / reporting
  • Significant experience in financial and management accounting, current accounting practices and methods
  • Experience of working with PE-backed businesses or similar environment where cash and working capital management is critical
  • Proven track record of improving processes, instilling strong control environments and improving finance teams
  • Ability to operate at pace and balance competing priorities
Company Information

Our client is a PE-backed SME business with a blue-chip client base and a strong outlook for the future. The role is based in London and requires the ability to work in the office 2-3 days per week. The initial contract is intended to be 3 months.
