HW Interim Solutions is partnering with a North West based business to appoint an Interim Group Financial Controller. This is a high-profile opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to lead the financial operations of the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities.

As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, implementing robust financial controls, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. This interim role requires a seasoned professional who can quickly adapt and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any audit findings

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record as a Financial Controller within a Group environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders
