About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Copse, providing inpatient rehabilitation for men with mental health conditions.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for the clinical leadership of the service, overseeing the care pathway from assessment and admission until discharge. You will work closely with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Implement the Mental Health Act and liaise with the Ministry of Justice as required.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the service, ensuring high-quality care and treatment.
  • Develop and implement care plans and treatments for individual service users.
  • Guide on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
  • Experience in General Adult or rehabilitation settings and working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings, and risk assessment and risk management.
