Job Summary

We are seeking a Trainee Careers Adviser to join our expanding in-custody Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) service. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional, impartial support to prison residents, motivating them to develop their work-related skills and find employment, education, training, or volunteering opportunities upon release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IAG to prison residents, focusing on career development and employability skills
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, promoting a non-judgmental attitude and a desire to support individuals in fulfilling their potential
  • Collaborate with the training team to obtain an accredited IAG Level 4 qualification
  • Contribute to a supportive and professional work environment, valuing the well-being of colleagues and clients alike
What We Offer
  • An annual salary of £25,372 per annum pro rata, rising to £26,398 after 1 year's service
