Job Summary

Autism Unlimited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to an individual with complex needs. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our service user to live an independent and fulfilling life.

About the Role

We are looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about delivering person-centered care and support. You will work closely with our service user to develop and implement a personalized support plan, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to our service user, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Develop and implement a personalized support plan, working closely with our service user and other professionals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support our service user to engage in activities and hobbies that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with our service user, their family, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a care or support role, preferably with individuals with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our service user and their family.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Knowledge of person-centered care principles and practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
